Making natural body soaps has also become a job these days which are taken by the middle or lower class women. Door to door selling of the natural soaps is enhanced and encouraged these days. It even helps these ladies to buy their daily bread. Plants are the primary ingredients used in the soap making process. Usually herbs are the source of elements used in natural body soap making as they are very gentle to the skin and nourish the skin to a greater extend.

The various ingredients needed for making natural body soaps are lye, water, any type of oil or fat. Even scents or colours can be added to these soaps to make them more royal. Water can be taken from taps, collected rain water or even distilled water can be used. Any fat or oil can be used in making soaps, which ranges from vegetable oils to animal fats. Usually plant oils are preferred as it produces a good lather compared to animal fats. For example soaps made by using olive oils yields a soft soap with silky bubbles in it which makes the skin smooth and soft where as soap made from animal fat yields a denser soap.

The process of natural soap making can be referred to as Soponification. It is the chemical name given for the interaction between lye and the fat. Tracing time cannot be determined as the time might be less or more, but when the mixture starts to thicken, certain other things or extra ingredients like super fatting agents shall be added such as cocoa butter, avocado oil or even shea butter etc. The final step is to pour the melted soap into molds to become solid. It takes four to five days for drying and after that it can be used.

There are certain additional steps which are added to the entire process only if needed for boosting up the advantages. Doing so will enhance the quality of the soap to a larger extend. One such extra tip is to add a little more vegetable oil towards the end of the entire process. This will help in adding an extra lustre to the natural body soap. This soap suits best for dry skin as it becomes a super-fatted soap. Glycerin can be added to for making the skin softer and smoother. It cleanses the skin without drying it.

Many other ingredients can also be added to improve the quality of the soap to become skin friendly. One such ingredient is the essential oils, which gives a special kind of aroma and also provide special properties and thus relaxing the mind and soul. The importance of essential oils are known world wide as they are the oils which are used for aromatherapy. Each of them is known for their specific property. The oils ranges from Mediterranean smells like Bergamot, Peppermint or Basil to softer scents like Sage, Clary sage or Thyme to therapeutic oils like Eucalyptus, Neroli, Coriander or Lemon Grass. Using these oils might help in vanishing the smell of lye which is always recognized while natural soap making!

Even in today's world of synthetic products, there are people who prefer natural body soaps. They are to be considered much more reliable and works out a prefect lather. These soaps are destined to provide with the exact moisture that is needed by the body. The natural body soaps have within them the three steps or ingredients which are suggested by the experts as the three easy steps to beautiful skin. They are cleansing, toning and moisturizing. For cleansing, coconut oil, palm oil or even sesame oil mixed with water can be used. For the process of moisturizing jojoba oil, vitamin oil or even rose water and glycerine can be used.
