Instructions for making your own Bath SaltsToday you can buy in the market absolutely anything you need for running a home. Ironically, thought you can get everything some food to beauty aids, people are now obsessed to make their own at home. It took humans thousand of years to have everything standardized and ready-made within the reach of anyone who needs to save time or does not know how to make use of the many automatic and semi-automatic gadgets. People today want to cook for the family right from scratch; they want to make soap, candles and even bath salts. Yes, you heard me right. People are now able to make their own bath salts which would effervescence forever for you. The Process of Making Your Own Bath SaltsYou will need a few very common ingredients before you sit down to mix and make bath salts. The basics that you would require would be some base salts (the you would buy) such as Dendritic salt, Dead Sea salt or even Epson salt; some essential oils, glycerin (which is also a great skin moisturizer) and a little food grade color. Once you have got the ingredients bought all you have to do is mix them in a non-reactive container such a glass jar. Fill up the jar half way with the salts and then add a few drops of your favorite essential oil and other ingredients. Mix well, cover and leave undisturbed in dark and cool place (no in the refrigerator) for two or three days. Check it out at the end of three days and see whether it smells and has the color you wanted. If not, add a few drops more of oil and color. If you think it smells too strong, add a little more salts to the mix and leave aside again. Every time you make your salts write down the quantity of salts and all other ingredients that you used. With time, you will have a good number of recipes and you would be able to replicate any type of the mix you have had in the past to perfection. As it is there is no limit to your ability to experiment – you could try ingredients for dry skin, oily skin, aroma therapy, color therapy, favorite smell and so on. It will take you very little to master the art of making bath salts but you will save a fortune with it. This would come in handy not only for your own use but also for excellent gifts for your friends and loved ones. You could find out what is the favorite smell your friends love and then make bath salts especially for them which would make a wonderful gift. You could also – if you are so inclined – sell your bath salts to your friends and local shops. In case you perfect your art to that extent, this would be a great way to complement your income and become an entrepreneur. You could then make to order (as per the demand in the market) and what started as fun and personal savings could end up into a very profitable business.
