Sunless Tanning

Sunless tanning is used to keep skin healthy and reduce chances of skin cancer.

Sunless tanning, as its name applies, is the tanning without sun. Sunless tanning also known as UV-free tanning or self tanning refers to pertaining chemicals on the skin in order to produce an effect similar to the traditional suntan. Sunless tanning occur in response to relations between skin cancer and sun exposure exposed in the 1960s, along with other alternatives to natural sun tanning such as the use of a tanning bed or sun bed.

For taking sunless tanning, some tanning products are required. These sunless tanning items, also called as tanning extenders or self tanners, will provide a tanned look to your skin with revealing it to the dangerous Ultraviolet rays of sun. Although these products are generally recognized as safe, these products have some risks, totally depend upon the way in which they are applied and used.

DHA based sunless tanning products:-

According to the AAD, the most effective product for sunless tanning of lotions are the products having dihydroxyacetone as an active ingredient in it. The tan is simply not a stain, dye or paint, but a chemical feedback among the amino acids and DHA in the dead skin layers. It is similar to a well know reaction to food chemists and called mail lard reaction. You may apply these sunless tanning products at home in form of lotions, gels, sprays, mousses, and wipes. These products give the best result for the dry skin.

Tyrosine base sunless tanning products:-

Though lotions, gels and sprays having DHA are said to be the most useful and reliable tanning products, there are some other types of products in the market. Tanning accelerators- pills and lotions that formally contain the tyrosine (one type of amino acid)-claim that they increase and stimulate melanin formation, thus increasing the speed of tanning process.

Working Characteristics of Sunless Tanning products:-

There are different type of sunless tanning products available in the market, but the working characteristics of these products are basically the same. The most active element of sunless tanning products is the DHA. Good quality of sunless tanning products having DHA will make your skin darker and gives you a beautiful look. It doesn’t matter what is the season, it will work best for all the times.

Temporary Bronzers of Sunless tanning:-

Bronzers are the temporary bronzing or sunless tanning option. These products come in form of sprays, powders, gels, moisturizers and lotions. These products may be washing off easily with water and soap. Like make-up these products will sting or tint your skin till you washed off it.
