Niaouli: Benefits, Using Tips and Side Effects

Niaouli is a valuable herb used in aromatherapy. The niaouli is an evergreen tree with pointed leaves and spiky stretched yellow flowers. The leaves of the evergreen are very fragrant when crushed. The major chemical components of niaouli oil are 1,8-cineole, y-terpineol, limonene, a-phellandrene, a and b pinene, linalool and piperitone. Niaouli oil is taken as a safe oil, since it is non-toxic, non-irritant and non-sensitizing. The therapeutic properties of niaouli oil are analgesic, anti-rheumatic, antibacterial, bactericidal, balsamic, cicatrisant, decongestant, expectorant, febrifuge, insecticide, stimulant, vermifuge and vulnerary. Niaouli oil's great benefit lies in its disinfecting properties, to fortify the body against infections, to tone the digestive system and to aid in any infection on the skin. In vapor therapy, niaouli oil can help with stimulating concentration and clearing the head, fighting infections, complementary the digestive system and relieving pain. In a blended massage oil or diluted in the bath, it is of big use to fight infections, relieving pain, toning the digestive system and sorting out skin infections. In a cream or lotion it is great to clear up the inflamed problems, such as acne, boils, ulcers, burns, cuts and insect bites. It also helps to clear out congestion in an oily skin.
