Paraffin wax or beeswax that melts at 136 degree Fahrenheit to 141 degree Fahrenheit is needed. In case of making pillar candles, wax with medium melting point is required. Wick is the next ingredient without which it is impossible to light a candle. Wick size depends on the diameter of the mold and the wax formula adopted. Usually the wax wick type is recommended for use. There are over thousands of molds which are available easily these days. In this case, aluminium molds are preferred over iron molds as they have durability and give an exotic look to the candles while the metal molds offer a kind of rust look to the candles. The wick hole which is present in the hole can be sealed using the mold sealer or wick holder bar. Nowadays, jiffy wicker is preferred by all.
